BridgeTEFL Weekend Seminars allow you to get certified to teach English—or specialize in a particular teaching topic—in just one weekend! Our convenient weekend format consists of 20 hours of class time over the course of two days. BridgeTEFL Weekend Seminars are intensive, hands-on experiences and full participation is essential.

TEFL 101: The Fundamentals of Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Seminar Summary:
TEFL 101 is an introductory course covering the fundamental principles of English Language Teaching and EFL/ESL classroom techniques. This intensive certification course is supported by peer micro-teaching opportunities and will prepare someone with no teaching experience to be successful in the classroom. Not only will you learn how to prepare and deliver an EFL/ESL lesson, but you will also gain valuable insight into the essential aspects of second language acquisition.
Course Requirements:
There are no pre-requisites for this course. The program may be taken alone, or in conjunction with one of our TEFL Online courses. And at the end of the course, participants will receive a BridgeTEFL 20-Hour Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
TEFL 201: Special Topics

Our Special Topics Seminars are intended for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge, understanding, and practical application of specific areas in the field of English Language Teaching. The seminars are perfect for recently certified teachers looking to broaden the scope of their abilities, as well as for seasoned professionals looking for continuing education opportunities. Each learning experience will thoroughly examine one specific topic (see sample topics below) followed by practical application of the principles and techniques in a real classroom setting.
Course Requirements:
In order to enroll in any of our TEFL 201 seminars, participants should have already completed our , , or TEFL 101 program, have received their TEFL certification through another organization, or be an experienced classroom teacher.
