All of our teacher trainers have either an M.A. or certification in TEFL and extensive practical teaching experience in a variety of contexts. Most importantly, BridgeTEFL trainers are passionate about what they do and consistently strive to serve the diverse needs of their EFL students and TEFL trainees. |

María A. Capocchi R.
Maria Alice holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Leicester University (UK) and has over 20 years of
experience in teaching, pedagogical coordination, and teacher training and development. She is a member of the Board of the Association of EFL Teachers of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and her experience includes designing and implementing English programs at multinational companies and language institutes in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Maria Alice is also a materials writer and has had several books and academic articles published. She has worked as a trainer for BridgeTEFL since 2003. |
Laura Greenwood
After graduating from the University of North Carolina in 1972, Laura spent
her teaching career in the public sector, first teaching English and history
for Aurora Public Schools in Colorado and then teaching English for
Hunterdon County Public Schools in New Jersey. Laura moved to Denver in
2000, where she has mentored at-risk youth, worked with a local
philanthropic organization, and volunteered conducting seminars for ESL
teachers in her community. In 2004, Laura earned a TEFL certificate from BridgeTEFL and spent 2005 teaching EFL in Santiago, Chile. Laura
joined the BridgeTEFL Department in January 2007 as a TEFL
Trainer. |
Denise Kray
Denise is a 1995 graduate of the Education program at the University of Alberta, Canada. After college, she spent a year in Japan where she taught English to students of all levels. Upon returning to the U.S., Denise got her Colorado teacher credential and in 1997 came to Bridge-Linguatec where she has taught ESL classes, including test preparation, grammar, reading, listening, and speaking. Since 2003, Denise has been the head TEFL trainer in our BridgeTEFL program in Denver, in which she has trained trainee teachers from around the world. She has also assisted in curriculum development for both ESL classes and BridgeTEFL. |
Katie Mulleague
Katie has a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Spanish from the
University of California, Santa Barbara. Upon graduation, she moved to
Santiago, Chile and received her TEFL certification from BridgeTEFL in 2006.
She has since been working with us as an English teacher, teacher trainer,
and most recently as a TEFL trainer. |
Karina Zew
Karina lived most of her childhood in the US, but moved to Argentina as a teenager. She has a Master's in Psychology and has been involved for many years in the field of education. Karina started teaching Business English in companies nearly 20 years ago, and during that time she also taught general English to children, adolescents and adults. She has also been a speaker at conferences regarding teaching English as a Foreign Language. Karina started with Bridge- Linguatec as a teacher and is now a TEFL trainer in our Buenos Aires center. |
